Position Impact:

The Procurement Assistant role is responsible for the management of procurement functions across all indirect categories, drive effective governance among onshore/offshore partners and support teams to identify the savings opportunities, negotiate with suppliers and drive savings by

demonstrating the market conditions and by implementing the right strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation with vendors in consultation with team lead
  • Getting approvals as per DOA.
  • Creating Purchase/Work Orders and DFM.
  • Providing and solving the queries related to documents as questioned by auditors.
  • Approvals upload in system related to payment, vendor validation, Contracts, PO, etc.
  • Submission of the invoices & follow up with finance Deptt. for on time payments.
  • Follow up with the Individuals for getting the desired approvals.
  • General Contract Reading like Service Contract, AMC.
  • Knowledge of taxes – GST, IGST, CGST
  • Knowledge of buying/hedging commodity materials/ Running e-RFI/RFQ or auctions
  • All PO, Payment and data management system (contracts, PPAP and NDA)
  • Knowledge for making Cost Comparison.
  • Providing the MIS for the areas handled.
  • Good understanding of transformation initiatives in Procurement and spend optimization programs such as Zero-Based Budgeting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor university degree Mandatory and Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proficient in English language- both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of buying/hedging commodity materials/ Running e-RFI/RFQ or auctions
  • Category expertise in the indirect sourcing
  • Experience in Australia Market will be an added advantage
  • Contract Management in Ariba
