The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in the engineering department, focusing on process design, optimization, and implementation to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental impact. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and review process flow diagrams, troubleshoot operational issues, and support new installations or modifications to existing facilities.

Responsibilities

Process Design and Optimization:

1. Lead efforts to design and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.

2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through data analysis and evaluation.

3. Develop and implement strategies to optimize process parameters and minimize waste.

Process Flow Diagrams and Instrumentation Diagrams:

1. Develop, review, and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

2. Ensure accuracy and completeness of diagrams to facilitate effective communication and understanding of process systems.

Process Modification and Implementation:

1. Implement and oversee process modifications to improve efficiency, safety, and environmental impact.

2. Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes and monitor their effectiveness.

3. Conduct risk assessments and adhere to regulatory requirements during process modifications.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

1. Provide technical support to operations teams, troubleshooting process issues, and implementing solutions to ensure continuous and reliable production.

2. Analyze root causes of process failures or deviations and develop corrective and preventive actions.

3. Document troubleshooting procedures and lessons learned for future reference.

Collaboration with Project Teams:

1. Collaborate with project teams on new installations or modifications to existing facilities.

2. Provide technical input and expertise during project planning, design, and execution phases.

3. Ensure alignment of process engineering activities with project objectives and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and process instrumentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance standards
