The System Engineer (IT Infrastructure) will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical role in installing and configuring systems, managing network servers, implementing security measures, and building a comprehensive internal wiki with technical documentation and IT policies.


Software, Hardware, and Network Management:

  • Maintain, upgrade, and manage software applications, hardware components, and network infrastructure.
  • Install and configure software and hardware according to organizational requirements and standards.
  • Manage network servers, routers, switches, and other networking devices to ensure optimal performance.

System Performance Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor the performance of technology infrastructure systems and components, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.

Security Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure the security of technology infrastructure through the implementation of access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Technical Documentation and IT Policies:

  • Build and maintain an internal wiki with comprehensive technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT infrastructure and security.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in software installation and configuration, hardware setup, and network administration.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework is a plus.
