About the Role
Global Network (GNET) org is looking for an SDE 3 to join Remitly and help scale their funding and disbursement processing across their vast operational regions, alongside collaborating with other Sr/Staff engineers towards setting a north star technical vision. As an SDE 3, you will bring exciting new features to our customers by contributing to the expansion of our pay-in and pay-out networks globally. The engineer will help shape and build against a backlog of features designed to improve our Global Network powering all of Remitly’s product offerings in creative ways.
Will develop new partner integrations for our pay-in and pay-out networks, with the possibility of working with partners from over 170 countries
Will deliver well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions.
Will participate in interviewing, code reviewing, mentoring, and ramping new hires.
Will partner with PM to break down tasks, provide estimates, and discuss tradeoffs
Will partner with Operations team members across the globe to provide technical recommendations to customer-facing problems
Will work with partners around the globe and be a representative of the company and our engineering team to our global partners
Will become an expert with tools, programming languages, and engineering processes used within the GNET team in a scalable cloud-based architecture
Will write technical specifications and participate in design reviews
Mentor, promote best practices, and push for technical excellence across the company
Partner closely with your manager and promote the technical direction and roadmap
A BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
6+ years of experience shipping high-quality products
1+ year leading features with multiple engineers
Experience building, shipping, and maintaining web services and systems on AWS
Practice mentoring and growing other engineers
Experience defining and deploying technical best practices across a team

Compensation Details: The starting base salary range for this position is typically $159,090 - $189,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
