Your Main Responsibilities

  • Job Overview: As a Software Asset Management Specialist at Trendyol, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our software assets throughout their lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, reduce financial and security risks, and improve software utilization across the organization. We are looking for an analytical individual with a deep understanding of software licensing, vendor management, and process optimization
  • 1. Software License Management: Monitor, track, and maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses and entitlements within the organization. Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and identify opportunities to optimize license usage.
  • 2. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain productive relationships with software vendors. Negotiate licensing agreements, renewals, and maintenance contracts to achieve the best value for the organization.
  • 3. License Compliance and Auditing: Perform regular internal audits to verify software compliance and identify potential licensing issues. Address any non-compliance matters promptly and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • 4. Software Procurement: Collaborate with the procurement team to assist in software selection, purchasing, and contract reviews. Ensure adherence to established procurement policies and procedures.
  • 5. Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing software license allocation and recommending more cost-effective licensing options.
  • 6. Software Deployment and Usage Analysis: Analyze software deployment and usage data to identify underutilized licenses or opportunities for license reharvesting. Recommend strategies to enhance software utilization.
  • 7. Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of software assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Implement best practices for software asset disposal or transfer.
  • 8. Policy Development and Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive Software Asset Management (SAM) policies, procedures, and documentation. Ensure that SAM processes align with industry best practices.
  • 9. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about software compliance, licensing, and the importance of adhering to SAM policies across different departments.
  • 10. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks related to software assets. Collaborate with the IT security team to implement appropriate safeguards.

Qualities We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software asset management, license management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with software asset management tools and software deployment technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of IT procurement processes and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, CHAMP, or SAM/ITAM certifications) will be a plus.
  • Service Now ITAM module knowledge is a major plus
